Sports Authority of India announced that from this year it will be extending medical and accident insurance cover to over 13,000 athletes, coaches and support staff.

·      Sports Ministry has reportedly sanctioned Rs. 20.67 crores to organise the Khelo India Youth Games.

·      Arun Kumar Mendiratta, medical commission chairman od Athletics Federation of India passed away reportedly due to Covid-19 related complications t the age of 60.

·      O P Bhardwaj, India’s first Dronacharya awardee boxing coach, passed away at the age of 82. He was battling prolonged illness and age related issues.

·      BCCI has reported asked English Cricket Board to reschedule the test series; to start it a week early so that it can schedule the remaining IPL 2021 matches.

·      Rahul Dravid will reportedly coach the Indian limited overs team on the Sri Lanka tour in July.

·      BCCI secretary Jay Shah tweeted that Indian Women’s cricket team will compete in its maiden day night during its Australia tour later this year.

·      Rohit Sharma posted an adorable picture with his daughter on Instagram.

·      BCCI has announced annual player contracts for senior Women- Team India. Harmanpreet and Poonam Yadav are now in Grade A, Shafali, Punam Raut, Rajeshwari Gayakwad have been elevated to Grade B.

·      UK-bound men and women cricketers have started assembling in Mumbai.

·      Ahead of Upcoming T20 World Cup in India, Cricket South Africa has announced that AB de Villiers will not be coming out International retirement.

·      BCCI has called a Special General Meeting on May 29 to discuss T20 World Cup hosting in October November. The meeting will be held virtually.
